today I saw a preteen girl pick up Mean Girls at Target and ask her friend what it was. She didn’t even know. She said it sounded dumb. The people are forgetting. The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.

So when the maid came this morning and put tap water in his plate he came into my room and led me to it like “this is not my water correct it human”. I emptied the plate and put fresh water from the filter inside it, and he followed me to were I always leave it. He stood there, looking at me, as if he was waiting for something. I didn’t know what to do, so I just nodded like “this is your water baby you can trust me” and only then he started drinking it.
